This is my husband's go-to for all his haircuts, tailoring, spa, and clothing needs - the service and attention to detail is exceptional. Every time he comes back from an appointment at Jaxson Maximus, he is relaxed and excited to mention the great experience he had. I've also purchased gifts for him from here and am happy with the support to pick gifts and presentation of even simple gifts like a gift card.

I'm not sure if you're understanding. THE ISSUE HERE IS THIS WAS A TERRIBLE HAIRCUT and the stylist had an attitude . I did not go with him to the chair for the consult because he's 14, and he does what he wants with his hair. All I simply expressed to the so called "stylist", Michelle, is that he was having the signature service, which we pre-booked in advance online (she obviously didn't feel like doing this-and with that attitude we ourselves went with a regular cut). Please, if you are the owner and you know hair, look at the after picture and tell me this is a quality $65 cut. This is right outside your establishment right after our experience.
Can you see how severely she thinned out his hair? I don't think he asked for that. Or how about how uneven it is? Or check out the top of his head and all those little hairs out there hanging out, hiii. Maybe he asked for that? Yeah, maybe it's because I should have been at the consult? It has nothing to do with how much was cut. His hair was butchered to the point that his natural texture still hasn't recovered. Am I suppose to be grateful that this was comped? To start off, this review is completely the opposite of what happened during the appointment. After speaking with your stylist and with the front desk staff that day, there seems to be a disconnect in communication between what your son wanted for a service and what you, as their parent, would like your son to have as a haircut.
For example, when his stylist and our front desk receptionist asked if he would like a Signature added to his haircut, your child denied having the additional service be added on multiple occasions.
During the consultation, your stylist cut his hair to the specifications he requested, which is for the back to be trimmed off. There was no mention by him that he wanted to keep the back longer in length. After you returned and expressed that you did not like the cut, we offered to comp your service and offered for another stylist to "fix it" to your specifications. Reiterating that your son, in fact, wanted his hair to be cut while you, as the parent, did not.
To avoid this situation where the parent had different expectations than what their child wanted, we always recommend that the parent be present during the consultation to avoid any discount between the three parties.May 21, 2023Previous reviewMy 14 year old son wanted the signature hair cut as part of his 8th grade graduation gift. He looked this place up on line. I reviewed it with him and booked. We drove over an hour to get here. We walk in, the place is beautiful. The young lady in the front greeted us nicely and even offered a beverage. We booked with Michelle Waloven. From the time she came to get my son in the lobby she was off. She wasn't friendly, she was rough. My son is shy so I just mentioned to her that we booked the signature and she looked at him and asked, do you really want that? And then started explaining what the service entailed in a super condescending attitude as if it was above him. So I just replied you know that's ok we'll just do a regular cut. Well my son went in for a trim. He has a healthy set of hair as you can see from the before pics. She butchered his hair, BUTCHERED! His hair went into shock, if that's a thing. How is this person even cutting hair. When she saw his reaction, she had nothing to say. She didn't even address us. She simply walked away. How is she allowed in what seems like a prestigious establishment. The lady in the front immediately texted the manager and didn't charge for the service. Being his graduation was in a couple days I asked if someone else can fix this mess. In the end we were both so upset we decided to leave but this woman never even had the decency to address the situation. Shame on you. Take some classes because I highly doubt you worked for Redken or Paul Mitchell with this "scissor work".

The tailor completely ruined my sport coat and disregarded specific instructions, they didn't do the right thing and now I am left with a ruined jacket!

We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the shortening of the sleeves per your direction. As we mentioned, while you were in the store, you were 100% credited back the alteration cost as well as a one-time consideration extended for an in-store credit of 5x the alteration costs according to our company's terms and conditions.
We did our best to try and accommodate and satisfy your request; however, we do not accept verbal and physical threats to our management team and our employees. Due to the physical threats made during your last visit, you are no longer welcome at Jaxson Maximus.

I have finally found the perfect place to get my haircut, to get a Mani and a Pedi, to get clothes altered, and to have a custom-made sports coat. This place has it all under one roof. And it is nothing short of absolutely fabulous.

I go here for all my tailoring needs (womens clothes). Kristyna (and Donna) are the best! They try to understand exactly what you want and provide very good advice as well when they think you are doing too much or too little alterations, or even when alteration isn't needed! I have brought them Western clothes (jeans, pants, tops, dresses) and Indian clothes as well (like my wedding outfits) and they ace them all perfectly!! Thank you always for your service!

Kristyna is amazing!! I have given her alterations very last minute and she's still able to accommodate my request! I couldn't be more grateful for her she's the only person I trust with my clothes! She's also very sweet and cares about doing a great job for her clients. I highly recommend her!!!

They don't have the machinery to do a manicure and pedicure. Everything is manual and simple. The haircut, there are better ones in the area. The only thing that is good is the customer service.

As soon as I heard that my employer was gearing up for us to go back into our physical office, I knew I had some pants that had to be seriously alterations and tailored. Who hasn't had this problem in some way, shape or form during COVID? There were even some pants I got during Christmas in 2019 that hadn't be worn but needed alterations! Enter Jaxson Maximus, a place I have frequently passed by on Brickell Bay Drive and heard of via LinkedIn but never stepped into before. I brought in four pairs of pants to them and originally thought they'd be a lost cause. Donna, their tailor, assured me otherwise. After trying everything on, she took my measurements, noted my preferences and gave me my estimate. Turn around time was 10 days but everything was done within a week. The results are fantastic! Donna and her team did amazing work with them! All four pairs I took in felt and looked like better fitting, newer pants. What made this made this experience even better? I was checked out of the store by none other than the owner himself, Christian Boehm. I love it when business owners don't see themselves as "above" certain tasks and make it clear that the customer experience comes first. After paying with Christian, he showed me around the rest of the salon/store and gave me a run down on all of their services. This includes but isn't limited to a men's grooming salon with complementary bar, custom clothing, and facials. I have some more clothes that need to be altered soon and might need a custom sports jacket made. Thank you to Christian, Donna, and all of the Jaxson Maximus team! Can't wait to return! So glad we have a place like this in Miami.

To say Jaxson Maximus is unprofessional is being nice. Made 2 back to back appointments with a "Master" Stylist for 12N today. Booked it over a week ago. I was going there for the first time so was looking forward to it based on reviews.
I got there at 1155am....checked in and was told the person cutting my hair was on the way. Was offered a drink, which is part of the "experience"...at 12:15 I asked if they knew when she would be getting in, and they said "she's on the way".
At 1225, they called her...SHE'S IN AUSTIN, TX!
oops...no notification, no email during the week, no manager came over...no nothing..who cares I drove over 1/2 hour and paid for parking...not the point of course...
It was like "oh well".......
